Fictional structural fixture · no posts, accounts, metrics, or medical content
Discussion can start an investigation. It cannot finish one.
This demonstration follows one imaginary, non-medical discussion lead through clustering, editorial triage, source verification, and disposition—without turning attention into evidence.
The discovery boundary
Five steps, with a gate at every handoff.
Observation can route work to editors. Only separately verified sources can inform reporting, and publication approval remains a different decision.
- 01
Observe
A time-bounded, fictional discussion pattern enters the discovery queue.
- 02
Cluster
Aliases resolve to canonical fixture records; duplicate leads stay one cluster.
- 03
Triage
An editor decides whether the underlying question is worth investigating.
- 04
Verify sources
The team seeks an original source. Discussion itself remains only a lead.
- 05
Dispose
Investigate, hold, dismiss, or expire—with the decision and history retained.
Fixture cluster
One lead, independently described.
No engagement count is collected or displayed. The projection preserves what was observed, what was inferred, and what still needs review as different fields.

Two different questions
Attention and importance never collapse into one score.
Loud can be scientifically minor.
A large fictional cluster may repeat a question that does not materially change the evidence.
Quiet can still matter.
A small fictional lead may point to a primary source that warrants careful review.
Append-only handoff
The trail keeps uncertainty visible.
- Observed
Fictional discussion entered a bounded discovery window.
- Clustered
Three fixture aliases resolved to canonical topic, claim, and study records.
- Triaged
An editor marked the underlying question for investigation.
- Source check
No verified primary source has been established.
- Held
The lead remains unresolved; no scientific or editorial conclusion is published.
Honest states
Absence and uncertainty stay explicit.
Empty
No qualifying lead exists in the observation window.
Unknown
A value has not been established; it does not become “no.”
Unavailable
The source material cannot currently be reached.
Not assessed
Scientific importance has not been reviewed.
Dismissed
Review found no reporting action was warranted.
Superseded
A newer cluster replaces this one while history remains.
Corrected
A documented correction changed the projection.
Expired
The time-bounded observation is no longer current.
