Pause before translating a result.
- What happened?Separate the observed result from the headline’s interpretation.
- What was studied?Identify the model, population, comparison, duration, and outcome.
- How direct is it?Distinguish mechanism, biomarker, function, disease outcome, healthspan, mortality, and lifespan.
- What does it not show?Look for missing populations, untested outcomes, uncertainty, conflicts, and limits.
- Where does it connect?Follow the intervention, study, trial, claim, and topic records instead of treating one article as final.
